about me

The boring stuff:

I am a writer/director and actor, part of the Sundance x NHK screenwriting lab, Berlinale-ran Talents Tokyo and the BFI x BAFTA Connect program.

I studied in Japan (Keio University, Law Degree / Waseda University, Film Studies MA), in France (Lycée International) and in England (Nottingham University).

I am trilingual: English x French x Japanese, with some remnants of Russian, Spanish and Mandarin when my brain feels like it (hint: a few drinks help).

I received the main award at Busan Film Festival’s Asian Project Market for my feature in development, following in the footsteps of Hou Hsiao Hsien, Kurosawa Kiyoshi, Naomi Kawase and Bong Joon-ho to name a few (Variety article).

I also assist execs on productions shooting in Asia (The Outsider/Netflix, Tokyo Vice/HBOM) and Japanese projects filming abroad (Fin de Matinee/Fuji TV).

The exciting stuff:

I am a horrible but zealous dancer.

You can bribe me with cheese.

If you are creative, driven and have a great sense of humour, we will get along (bonus point if you like Taskmaster, Thierry Henry and sarcasm).
